Plunger rings are specifically designed and engineered for die casting machines working with a wide variety of materials. They are made from high performance ASL42 stainless steel which provides the ultimate in strength and wear resistance, giving the best performance in high temperature and corrosive environments.

Our die caster rings are manufactured using the same facilities and precision processes as our wide range of high-volume turbocharger seal rings for the automotive industry, sold worldwide with over 1 billion rings supplied since the early 1970s. All of this is achieved whilst maintaining the highest quality level possible, meeting the IATF16949 automotive industry standard.

Precision ground to very fine tolerances and with typical ring hardness in the range 45-52 HRC, Cross plunger rings are very tough yet retain their excellent wear resistance. Far superior to cast iron equivalents, they are the wise choice for achieving high production efficiency and reduced machine down time.

Die caster rings range from 1" to 5" (25-125mm) diameter, with the most popular sizes held in stock ready for immediate and fast delivery worldwide. Our standard rings have step cut joints, other gap arrangements can be provided, please contact us to discuss your specific needs.
